I’ve been working in the art outsourcing department at Winking Studios for 2 years, currently serving as an Assistant Art Director. From the early stages of game planning and concept development, to the back-and-forth revisions and discussions with clients and colleagues from other departments, I’ve been through a series of communications and production processes. Seeing the art pieces I worked on come to life in the game for players is an indescribable sense of achievement for me. My supervisors and colleagues are always willing to share their knowledge and experience, and the collaboration between departments runs smoothly to complete various projects and meet challenging client demands. This place is absolutely a fantastic environment for anyone passionate about game development to showcase their skills and continuously grow.

I currently work as a 3D Game Artist, responsible for 3D modeling and art integration in projects. I’ve always loved playing games, and even during my school years, I pursued a degree in game design. After graduating, I was fortunate enough to join Winking Studios and participate in game development. My colleagues are also game enthusiasts, sharing similar interests and hobbies. Our communications during project development and even our casual conversations are filled with the things we love. Being able to learn and enhance my skills within a professional art team, while working in an industry I’m passionate about, is truly my greatest happiness!

Over the past few years, I have participated in the art design of many games, including Winking Studios’ self-developed VR game “Unearthing Mars.” During my time in the outsourcing department, I have encountered a variety of artistic styles and had numerous opportunities for learning and growth. Since I was a kid, I’ve always dreamed of creating games people love. Now, as a game designer at Winking Studios, I’ve worked on several VR games, including our own “Unearthing Mars 2.” I believe those who love video games are lucky. Over the past four years, we’ve brought many projects to life and shared them with players.

Getting a game to market isn’t easy. Even with a great idea, challenges like team dynamics, FOUNDATION, and deadlines can slow things down. But at Winking Studios, our resources and dedicated team help us push through to make our dreams a reality.

Making games is harder than playing them, but doing what I love makes me happy.

I initially chose to join the gaming industry simply because I loved playing games, but once I got involved, I realized that loving games and actually making them are completely different experiences. This revelation allowed me to see games from a whole new perspective. Many people believe that turning a hobby into a job can diminish one’s passion for it, but at Winking Studios, making games has allowed me to bring many of my ideas to life in my work, making it both fulfilling and enjoyable.

I’m thrilled to have met so many great colleagues and mentors at Winking, and to learn and grow alongside them as we strive to create better games for everyone to enjoy.

I’m currently working as a Japanese PM, handling communication and translation between clients and team members during project execution. I coordinate and utilize various resources to help the team resolve issues and ensure that we deliver satisfying results on schedule.
