Company History

Winking Entertainment was established in 2003, based in Shanghai with offices in Nanjing and Taipei -- the veritable successor of the 1997-established WindThunder Studio.

Amongst the earliest pioneers of the PC RPG genre in the Greater China region, Winking has always been at the forefront of game development, with titles in various genres and on a multitude of platforms. Currently Winking Entertainment is also developing a number of VR titles.

In addition to well-known original IPs such as the Heroine Anthem and X.A.O.C. series, Winking also provides outsourcing services, with the Nanjing office as the art production base.

The spirit of the original WindThunder Studio lives on with a Taipei office of the same name, comprised of industry veterans with a passion for gaming and game production. The studio focuses on original IP games, ranging from such genres as RPGs to projects using the latest in VR technology. Winking also creates original IP gaming merchandise including comic books, movies and animations.
